Bhanmati Seecharan is a highly experienced Chartered Valuation Surveyor with over 30 years of dedicated public service in Trinidad and Tobago. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to various Ministries, including the Board of Inland Revenue, Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries. Her work has focused on property valuation, land management, and public land policy. Bhanmati currently holds the esteemed position of Commissioner of State Lands (Acting), where she provides strategic leadership and professional guidance. Her expertise and commitment continue to shape national standards in land administration and valuation practices.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- MSc in Surveying – University of Reading/College of Estate Management
- BA in Business Administration
- BSc in Computer Science
- Chartered Valuation Surveyor (MRICS), since 2014
- Member of the Institute of Surveyors of Trinidad and Tobago (MISTT)
- Over 12 years of valuation experience in the Ministry of Finance (Valuation Division).
- Formerly held titles such as “Professional Valuer” and “Valuation Assistant I (Technical).”
- Serves as a key advisor under the Land Surveyors Act 33 of 1996.
- Regularly provides recommendations on nominees related to land and surveying regulations.
